Had a slightly unsettling evening with one of my fellow miscreants raising her voice a tad on the shared landing. One of the senior support workers came in and asked me if I’d been disturbed by the nearby antics and she assured me she’d ask her to go back into her apartment.
Sometimes I think I’m cunningly used as a bit of a warning, e.g. ‘don’t do that or Richard will be very cross’. It was all ok in the end.
Lateron, in the wee hours I discovered a new free streaming app which featured a film I like and had wanted to see again for a while. I used to find its lead character quite annoying but I can now see his driven multi-faceted talent for what it is.
I also quite like how he has for a number of years now turned his back on Hollywood and its all-pervading vacuousness. The film in question (see clip at the bottom of this post) includes the Jefferson Airplane 60s hit Don’t you Want Somebody to Love?
This song packs a punch with the mesmerising melody and strange riffs, the powerful female vocals and evocative lyrics (And your Friends, Baby, They Treat you Like a Guest..)
