Somehow I don’t think I will get there but if I ever end up founding my own order, the Ricardians, then what would some of the Order’s rules have to be – based on my experiences with both the world of the divine spirit and the material, carnal plane?

Well, when I read 1 Corinthians 6:9–10: “Know ye not that the unrighteous shall not inherit the kingdom of God? Be not deceived: neither fornicators, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor effeminate, nor abusers of themselves with mankind, nor thieves, nor covetous, nor drunkards, nor revilers, nor extortioners, shall inherit the kingdom of God”. 

I do tick a few of those boxes. But let’s see if I can follow St. Augustine.

CONCEPT RICARDIAN RULE

  1. God loves His Creation
  2. The Soul, Mind and Body are all His Creation. They do not even belong to us
  3. None of these three mortal attributes are to be disregarded, maltreated or disrespected; there can be no shame in exhorting God’s Craft and Mastery through the enjoyment and deeper involvement with them
  4. As such, the Ricardian Order rejects notions of holding the human form as a shameful or unworthy expression of His love and dedication to us. After all, did not our Lord himself atone for all of mankind’s sins while on the Cross nude and despised by an ignorant mass? The naked human form, therefore, shall be cherished and celebrated. Too long have the darkened doorways denied fresh light upon ALL that makes mortal immortal.
